Dr. OlympiaLiu: Competition!(01/14/2013)I like to play all kind of sports, especially, fast-speedy sports, like basketball, short distance swimming…People were surprised see me like a young girl running in the basketball field. I was MD for Olympic athletes in Beijing for 20 yrs.I have chance play all sports which make me healthy!
During 2013 New Year vacation,at friend’s home party in Palm Beach, Florida, we played table tennis competition.Even I didn’t touch this “Small Silver Ball” for many yrs, but it still shown my ability of aggressive fighting!So, in Chinese: “Bao Dao Wei Lao” !
From vacation returned home Atlanta.I still want to play Small Silver Ball again.Wah, look newspapers, there were many reports & AD about this sports in the Atlanta area.Usually, there was one table tennis coach-Yong, and his school.People are familiar news reports about Yong’s extraordinary achievement in the US table tennis stage.
However, recently, just in a few months, there are 3 table tennis schools established in different location.
Besides Young, another coach named Wang Hui, who also was China National team member. People saw that Wang established his school.In a short time period, Wang’s students also won good title in the US competition.Then, the 3rd coach, a woman,has been located in Atlanta, she open a table tennis club, andoffers “Free” Play – NO charge in certain times, people like that! People not only can go nearby school, but, also could make a choice.Choice, is good, no choice no competition.
Also, I would like to see that they offer adult’s classes.In Young’s school, he charges adults for $10.00/hr., not too bad.But, you can play in other places for Free or just buy a table, spend about $100.
You see, in short period of time, there are 3 schools established.Congratulations!
I didn’t see the 3 coaches against each other, but, I know they will competition. Yes, sport is competition!
From them, I should say that they are playing an important role, which is greatly promoting Atlanta sports, entertainments.I am sure that will benefits Atlanta kids and adults.
I hope that people should learn from them, there are no jealous, no fight, everyone is hard worker to coach people and get their economic harvest. I suggest that others should learn from them, show me your abilities to promote your business. If one charges $35/hr, you just charge $20/hr. or offer free in certain times for benefit the Chinese community. Off cause, competition should obey legal issues.You can get license, open a school. Just Do it!
Competition could make things better, more choice,
Competition could reduce price, benefit community,
Competition could offer convenience, reduces traffic,
Competition could promote business in Atlanta, especially, in this economic recession situation!
