Away from city’s noisy neon lights
Only me and nostalgia at this full moon night
Some old days breached the dam of my mind
Is that tears couldn’t help coming into my eyes
Away from years ago I just had memory of my life
Missing Grandma showing me this moon at one same night
Telling its fairy tales with me in arms; you were so kind
Dear grandma, how I wish to hold your hand, you were still alive
Away from Mom Dad on the same earth but at the other side
Missing whole family sitting together all by my side
Sharing one moon cake tasting love at those reunion nights
Dear Mom and Dad, how I wish I could have that sweat bite
Away from all my friends right now out of my sight
Missing all our laughter and conversations after midnight
And your encouragement your caring during our hike
Dear friends, how I wish we were together; we sing till sunrise
Away from your homey room with the warm candlelight
Missing the moment you woke me up sharing the full moon night
And the time we spent by the ocean kites flying so high
Sweetheart, how I wish you were with me so you can hold you tight
No matter flood tide and low tide
Whatever life for my voyage will provide
I’ll pave entire journey with peace and delight
I’m setting out would you share the ride
Away from the moon where the fair lady forever bides
This life is short but I enjoy every piece of its rhyme
These moon festivals and these full moon nights
Make all my days worth so much the while |
