前言
美国东南部佐治亚州，气候舒适、资源丰富。在它的南部，有个人杰地灵的小城，名字也好听，叫桃子树城（PeachtreeCity）。离亚特兰大国际机场仅30分钟车程的桃子树城象一个世外桃源，几次获得“全美最宜居城市”的美号。那里山清水美，居民礼貌、治安绝好、学校拔尖。这里我就再详细介绍一下它的与众不同之处：
(一)生活在美国，最方便的是人人有车，去哪里只要油门一踩，想去哪就开哪儿，不用翘首等公交。但是最不方便的也是到哪里都要开车。离我们家最近的小店要半公里，家里万一缺个牛奶鸡蛋什么的，也得踩下油门开车去买？不用，住在我们小城—Peachtree City的人会有另外一种解决办法，我们会从车库里开出高尔夫车，沿着四通八达、建在树林里的高尔夫车道，慢悠悠的开出去shopping,banking 或吃饭。
Something about living in America is that everybody’s got their own sweet car, all we need is to step on the gas and you can go to anywhere you want. With a car, there is no need to wait at stations for the buses or trains. But sometimes, cars are just not the right transportation to go around. Do I have to waste gas for going to the grocery store only a few blocks down my house for just a jug of milk or a cartoon of eggs? No! As the residents of Peachtree City, we have a different and more energy efficient solution for going around - Our handy dandy Golf carts! About one-third Peachtree city families have a golf cart just like the one in the pictures below. We also like to decorate these magnificent tools in special holidays ，such as July 4th, Halloween or Homecoming enents. Peachtree City golf cart paths reach almost everywhere to your desire. We enjoy the slow breeze of wind across our face while going to shopping, banking, going to restaurants, or fun sporting activities.

（二）位于亚特兰大西南面的 Peachtree City,多次被CNN Money Magazine评为全美十大宜居城市（http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peachtree_City,_Georgia），不仅仅因为她有着近100 英里的高尔夫车道可以供居民慢跑、遛狗和开高尔夫车访友购物，更因为他保存良好的自然环境、低犯罪率和排名全州前20的高中学校。Peachtree City因此成为亚特兰大西南部工作的人们的首选居住地。2000年至2010年，Peachtree City的家庭和人口数增加了20%左右。这里再提供一下2010年的人口普查数据。城中总人口34364，其中白人78%，黑裔7.3%，亚裔5.3%，西裔7.1%。 城内家庭数为13538户，平均每户2.5人口。按2007年估计，家庭中间收入为  $96,880.
Peachtree City is located south of the prosperous GA capital- Atlanta. It has been ranked “top 10 best place to live in America” several times by CNN MONEY magazine and other journals. The reason isn’t just because of our unique golf cart paths that cover 100 miles (160kilometers) that you can jog, walk your dog, drive your golf cart to seek friends or shopping at your favorite stores. Other factors add up to make Peachtree city the perfect place for us to live in. Peachtree city has a nature environment that has not been polluted by human activities. We have low crime rates and high schools that ranked top 20 across the whole state. Peachtree city population has increased by 20% during the last 10 years since it is the favorite hot living spots for people across Georgia. According to the census of 2010 we have a total population of 34364 people in Peachtree City which consist of 78% whites, blacks 7.3%, Hispanics 7.1%, and Asians 5.3%. We have 13538 households in town, with an average of 2.5 people per household. And the average household income is $96880 per year from a survey done back at 2007.

（三）Peachtree City是个只有62平方公里的小城，但城不在大，有水则灵。城中有3个人工湖和无数的池塘。夏天，居民们开车高尔夫车，在大小湖边和池塘钓鱼、喂野鸭,是居
民们交友聊天的好机会。小城里还有3个高尔夫球场，一个是27洞，另两个是18洞的。城里很多房子是湖景房，高尔夫风景房，身居其间，一派悠闲。
Peachtree City is consisted only of 62 kilometer squared. Not such of a big city, but the 3 lakes, and numerous ponds in the little town is what make our lives here a little more fun, and interesting. In warm weather, people drive their golf carts to go fishing, feed wild geese, or socialize with others. The city also includes 3 golf courses with one has 27 holes, the other two have 18 holes. Many houses here have beautiful lake views or golfing views. Living in such a heavenly place is simply a lifelong relaxation.

相信很多版上来参加过聚会的同学们都很熟悉。这里有钓鱼的露台，小船起落的平台和儿童游乐区。一到周末，钓鱼、划艇都是居民们周末很好的全家休闲活动。
不过，这个湖仅供本城居民和他们的客人们使用。想来我们村玩些水上活动的同学，记得和我先预约啊。
Lake Kedron is a 235-acre (95-hectare) water reservoir located in northern Peachtree that provides a relaxing getaway for visitors and Fayette County residents alike. In addition to providing the area with fresh water in times of drought, Lake Kedron is a place for people to enjoy swimming, fishing and other fun water activities.
Lake Peachtree was created in 1957 when nearby Flat Creek was dammed. If you happen to know someone while visiting Peachtree City, you're in luck - the small lake is exclusively for use of residents of the town and their guests. While there, you can enjoy bird-watching, swimming, picnicking, boating and fishing. For more information, please call the Peachtree City Convention & Visitor’s Bureau or visit them at their offices near the south end of Lake Peachtree at 201 McIntosh Trail.
（四）Peachtree City的学校也一直在佐治亚州名列前茅。Kedron Elementary School 因为其独特的课程安排和成就，而获得了the Georgia School of Excellence in 2006 和the
U.S. Department of Education's Blue Ribbon School in 2006. 城中2个高中，Starr’s Mill high和McIntosh High也一直位列全州前20的排名。Starr’s Mill
High还在2010年全州4A高中橄榄球联赛中获得了第二名的成绩。学校为社会输送了无数的德智体全面发展的学生。
The schools in Peachtree City have always exceeded expectations. The “Kedron Elementary School” has received the “Georgia School of Excellence” and the “U.S. Department of Education's Blue Ribbon School” in 2006 due to their success with the unique teacing schedules they created. The two high schools of the city：Starr’s Mill High and McIntosh High have always been ranked top twenty across the state. In 2010, Starr’s Mill High placed second in football in the state as a contender for the 4A league. Those schools of Peachtree city educated numerous excellent, well rounded groups of students to the society.

(五)Peachtree City离亚特兰大国际机场仅30英里不到，德美航空公司（Delta Airline）的总部就在这个机场，航班遍及全美至全球， 居民们开车30分钟就可以搭上航班直达世界各地。同时，城中还有一个专用机场，为城内的商业活动提供空中服务和举办不同的航空活动，包括一年一次的the Great Georgia Air Show。
Peachtree City is less than 30 miles away from the Atlanta International Airport. The Atlanta International Airport is the head quarter for Delta Airline whose flights spread from America to the wide world. Residents of Peachtree City only need to drive 30 minutes to be able to take the flights to anywhere of their wish. Peachtree City also has a regional airport which is used for many economical events, and performs many public and private uses including the annually performed “The Great Georgia Air Show”.

1，Flat Creek Nature Area顾名思义，是个原始自然树林，树林你可以看到鹿群嬉戏，鱼儿在小溪里缠绕。我每次带狗狗去那里遛弯，他们都不想回家，最后要我骗上车才走。
The Flat Creek Nature Area is easily accessible from the McIntosh Trail complex. Once inside the area, there are 513 acres (207 hectares) of wetlands for you to explore. A wooden boardwalk and viewing platforms are conveniently placed to allow you to explore the wetlands without getting your feet wet!
,McIntosh Trail Recreation Complex里有BMX track, skateboard ramp, 狗公园, 烧烤区，一个露天电影院和免费的ESL/GED课堂。一到周末，PTC的居民们就带着全家和宠物去那里玩乐了。
The McIntosh Trail Recreation Complex offers everything you could possibly want in a single park and more. The complex features a large loop trail, along which visitors can access plenty of attractions. These amenities include a BMX track, skateboard ramp, senior center, picnic area, the Flat Creek Nature Center, and the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater, home to plenty of exciting concerts from major artists.
