老线：Voted！

老线

起了个大早，赶了个晚集。哦，真正来说，不是我赶了个晚集，而是大家都起大早赶早集了。往届选举，一大早去不用排队，今天竟排了近一个小时的队，好在在教堂的大厅里，没有被雨淋着。
俺们选点是个小型选点，只有5台选举机。四周看了一下，以保守的白人为主（多数是森呢尔公民），结果就可想而知了。
我的选票被两党分了，准确的说，是共和党分的多些，因为多项选项中只有共和党一人候选。本想把老郭填写上去，不幸没记住老郭的英文全名，据说，如果只写“老郭”就是废票。
人物选举的细节就不用详述了，以免引起争论。
两项议案：
Regarding the establishment of public charter schools.  --- NO
Gives the State Properties Commission the authority to enter into multiyear lease agreements.  -- YES

My understanding:

Amendment 1: Competition vs Local Control. When passed, the State can force a charter school to local, or even statewide, making it easier to push one agenda / special interest (like for-profit school companies) regardless what local people want. But if local teacher union shut-out competition by denying charter schools, Amendment 1 can force some competition on them. Check  and Balance here .....

Amendment 2: Depending on how long  multi-year is. The original purpose of single year (short term) contracts is to limit corruption (even a bad contact won't hurt tax payers that badly if it ends in one year), but State pays a higher price for these contract, again, check and balance.....

我不去投，因为怕以后被捉了去作Jury，一去就要好几个星期没法工作，我们小门小户就只能喝西北风了。
