The developer is planning to build a major multistory 1000 Senior Living Homes next to East Cobb Park.

I completely agree with Mr. Yao, and absolutely oppose this proposal! What a nonsense proposal!!! Building this big community at Walton school district? Walton is the one of the top high schools in GA, which makes the house value much higher than other area. People try to get into Walton is for their kids to get better education and living/study environment. Putting a sernior living buildings in Walton school district will definitely negatively impact the house value. And, who will move in an expensive house/condo at rest of his/her life in a good school district with no kids to school?! I would rather spend less on house but more money to do whatever I am interested and improve my life quality.
This is closely related to our property value in east cobb. let's work together to raise our concerns.
UPDATE - Z-43 Isakson Living Communities, LLC
The Zoning Department has received a letter dated Sept. 13, 2013 from Isakson Living Communities, LLC requesting that their case be continued until the November 2013 hearings. The Planning Commission Zoning Hearing will be on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 9 a.m. in the 2nd floor meeting room at 100 Cherokee Street in Marietta. The Board of Commissioners Zoning Hearing will be on Tuesday,Nov. 19 at 9 a.m. in the 2nd floor meeting room at 100 Cherokee Street in Marietta.
Place to raise your concern:
1. Attend the rezoning hearing and express our concerns.
Isakson Living has just asked to postpone their rezoning hearing in October,
so at this point please plan to attend the November 5 Planning Committee Meeting at 9:00 AM!
