我去过2楼说的地方。不错。好像10月底从亚特兰大开3个半小时到Blue Ridge这个市是个风景路。
Atlanta to Blue Ridge Along the Georgia Mountain Parkway
Pit Stop: In Ellijay, pull into Hillcrest Orchards, where through October 26, the Apple Pickin' Jubilee is in full swing. Pluck fresh apples from their branches, gorge on apple pies and cider and check out the petting zoo, pig races and cart rides at this down-home fall extravaganza.
Total Drive Distance: 188 miles
Estimated Drive Time: 3.5 hours
Expected Peak Foliage: Late October
Slicing through the Chattahoochee National Forest that blankets the Blue Ridge Mountains, the 65-mile Georgia Mountain Parkway's scenic meander provides a fun fall exploration just a short drive from Atlanta. Pass through the farming communities of Jasper and Ellijay (the apple capital of Georgia), leaving time to poke in antique shops, orchards and wineries. Farther along, in Blue Ridge, ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway through the forest of colorful chestnut, cottonwood, sycamore and hickory trees. The return trip follows the same route back to Atlanta, so you can take in more orchards and farm towns on the way home. Hit the road mid-week to avoid the hordes of weekend leaf peepers and pumpkin pickers. |
