Be a part of the fastest growing Olympic sport in the world!
Coach Edward Chang
I love table tennis, and have been playing table tennis for 40 plus years, coaching since 2003. I am USATT certified state coach and a co-founder of Georgia Tiger Table Tennis School in 2007.
I learned coaching skills from US National Coach Xin, former South Korean Junior National Team Coach Kim, and head coach Zeng at Shi Cha Hai Sports Academy, who is one of the top ten table tennis coaches in China. By applying learned table tennis knowledge and skills at Metro Atlanta Table Tennis Clubs, ACCA, students’ houses, I coach all ages from 7 to 64, USATT rankings from novice to 2200 level. If you happen to ask a few top junior players at Lucky Shoals park gym, where Atlanta Georgia Table Tennis Association Club resides, “whom did you start learning table tennis from?” the answers mostly likely are “from Coach Chang.” Many parents and kids told me I am really good at teaching beginners. Over the years my students have extremely low drop-out rate, they usually stay with me for years.
I am very patient, and respectful to my students since each player is unique, I posses good communication skills. I can teach skills step by step both in plain English and Chinese. Players not only just learn techniques, but also learn under what circumstances to apply the techniques wisely. In short, my training approaches emphasize both technical and mental aspects.
Affordable, convenient, patient and easy going personality] really set me off from other coaches since I can delivery lessons to your house or other locations.
I believe table tennis lessons should be enjoyable and fun, whilst learning new skills. Coach and player should show mutual respects. Truly I want those taking lessons to love the sport, just like me. All the players should enjoy the full benefits of table tennis: great workout for your body and mind, improving mind clarity and concentration, reaction speed, balance and coordination. Oh, don’t forget to make friends at club. Lucky Shoals park gym is a great place to learn table tennis skills, to play for fun, to socialize with others, and get sweat.
I can only take a few more students, if you are interested in lessons, please get in touch and I am sure we will be able to put something together for individual or group lessons. Don’t just take my word for it, ask reference by email. |
