NACA/OCA 等组织向乔州参院竞选议员提的问题

Domestic Policy

(Immigration) ------ Basic Immigration approach

1. Once the US border is secured, are you in favor for providing a path for

legalization for the undocumented immigrant in US who has no criminal

records? (Both candidates stated they would like the US Borders

secured first)

2. If elected do you intend to bring to the floor the new comprehensive

immigration bill in this coming year?

3. Are you in favor of increasing the quota for H1 as well as the number of

visas to attract and retain highly skilled and educated legal immigrants in

US?

4. Are you in favor of increasing the visa number for family reunification in

order to decrease the backlog and waiting time?

(Health Care)

5. How are you going to implement an effective and affordable healthcare

program for everyone in the country?

6. Where are you going to get the funds to implement this program? And

how is this going to impact our economy?

7. Current Georgia Health Disparity Report (the first in the nation)

contains mostly the black versus white situation in our healthcare system.

If you are elected as the Senator of Georgia, how would you ensure

that other minority groups (from the invisible Asian Americans, American

Indians, and Latino-Americans) will be provided equivalent attention

and opportunity to be served by our current healthcare system?

(Economy) --- Rescue Bill

8. How can the main street directly benefit from the 700 Billion dollar bail

out plan?

9. What particular aspect of this bail out plan can promote the economic

growth and recovery for this country?

10. What are the regulatory criteria in this bail out plan to ensure

transparency and accountability?

(Economy) --- Housing & Jobs

11. Many Americans and Many Georgians are afraid of losing homes and

losing jobs. If elected, what will you do as a US senator to help your

fellow Americans to keep their homes, to keep their jobs, and to survive

this difficult time successfully?

What specific plans do you have in creating jobs here in Georgia? And

how do you plan to implement this program in the rural as well as in the

urban area?

12. What is your view of our national debt, which is now over 10 trillion,

what are you going to do about it?

13. Do you support the Fair Tax ? If so, Why or Why not?

(Education)

14. What new legislations or policies would you initiate and support in the

congress that will improve and promote excellence in our K-12 program,

especially in Science and Mathematics?

15. How would your program provides balance improvement of our public

school system and provide competitive educational outcome for this

country?

16. Do you support school voucher? If not, what is your policy in

providing incentives for schools and teachers whose performance are at

the level of excellence?

(Energy)

17. What is the short-term and long-term position to achieve energy

independence for this country?

18. Do you support the deepening of the harbor for Savannah ports? How

does this deepening addresses environmental concerns?

19. Does the deepening of the harbor aid in business growth and what are its

economic impact to the state?

20. How do you plan on aiding the ailing public school system in our state?

21. What specific plan or program will you put in place to ensure

entrepreneurial funding for minority and underserved groups in areas

such as small businesses and cottage industry.

22. List the 3 most important things you have done to help the state of

Georgia. Please explain how these things impacts the state

community functions serving the common good of the

minority groups and all of Georgians, represented by these

organizations?

Foreign Policy

24. America has been leading world for a century in terms of economy,

world security and politics but in terms of promoting freedom to every

corner of the world. Now but some people are concerned that we might

be losing that positive influence in the international community.. How can

we maintain or improve this leadership in the world?

- If you get your senate seat, what will be your top priority in terms of

leadership?

25. With the current globalization, we are facing a huge challenge in

relationship with other countries. What do you think are the top 3

countries that we need to focus on in terms of political, economical and

security concerns?

- Our government has two different voices, strong, and soft, about how

to deal with Russia… what is your stance on position toward Russia?

(War on Terror)

26. Since 911, we have waged War on terror, sometimes we are wondering

if we are still at war on terror or it is over now. If we are still at war on

terror, then, do we have to continue this war, how long,,,,,,,, even after

we withdraw from Iraq?
