After put a new capacitor, air conditioner is working now. But Condensing Fan/Motor is very noise. Any idea? Should I replace the motor?
The original capacitor is 35/3 mfd 370 v. The new one I put on is 35/5 mfd 370 v.
Will it be a problem later? Thanks.
I talked to several persons about the issue. 35/5 mdf 370v is OK for 35/3 mdf(uf). It is better to use 35/3 mdf 370v. Most fan motor can work with both 35/5 mdf 370v and 35/3 mdf(uf). The guy in Fox Applicane told me so. I bought an A.O.Smith motor on the lunch. and plan to put it on this evening. Hope everything will work out. Cheers. It is rental home and I have to make it work quickly :-(.
It is fair easy to replace motor. The new one has 5 wires and the original one only has 3 wires since it has dual run capacitor. It takes some effort to take fan blades off the old motor. The air conditioner works very well now.
