Recently my dell 700m laptop battery did not work so that I bought a battery from online. Battery is good, but when I insert the battery and start laptop, it shows "The battery is not identified. It will not be charged until the battery is removed. Press <F1> to continue." Because Battery has some power, it can supply power to laptop, but it cannot be charged.
