Fairness in Tax is a very complicated issue. It's not simple as 2楼 stated.
Let's say,
A makes $10,000 an hour, B make $10 an hour. From income, A is rich, B is poor.
If A taxed at 10% and B taxed at 20%, A pays $1,000 tax and B pays $2. So, looks like A is paying more than fair share.
On the other side, A pocketed $9,000 and B only pocketed $8. looks like A is NOT paying enough tax.
It gets more complicated if A spend more time in school and have higher education than B.
Or A's parent worked very hard and give A a higher start point.
Or, why nobody paying B for $10,000 an hour ?
Fairness is a very subjective concept. some people born with talent. some people work hard.
Rather, the key is balance. Such that, all people have a OK life and nobody need to start a revolution.
If you want more, you work harder. |
