I think we should use the basic financial and accounting rules, everyone gets what they paid for.  Run it truly like an insurance policy.  your pay out will be based on your policy premium and the age your join.  I am sure, there is no private insurance company, even for non profit, will write such an policy like SS and Medicare where payout is greater than revenue.  Only our selfish politicians do it for their own political agenda and for buying votes.

Why should the middle class sacrifice and the rich do not? It is kind of fare if middle class do not have to pay. If you do so, there would be more people without food.

I am not defending Bush, he was a terrible spender.  That's I voted for O in 08.  But Obama is even worse.  He didn't do anything with the budget in his 2009 and 2010 fiscal years where he has the full control of the government branches.  He didn't veto any spending bills in 2011 and 2012.  Can you realy claim he is fiscal responsible?  NOOOOOO!  That's why we need vote him out and send a clear message that deficit spender will pay for it with their political life.

no one should.  I agree that middle class shouldn't carry the burden either.  Return to personal responsibilities. the government should only help those who are mentally retarded and physical disabled.
