Some of his tenents can not pay for rent so mr. wang use them as free labour as exchange.  Perhaps it causes the resentment?

No offense, should OP state his/her relationship with the Wang's before people can decide if they want to donate?

And, I would say that morgage is non-recourse loan so the family should not be liable for the debt other than the houses.  I think the OP should also get the fact straight to be convincing,

同悲。但觉得募捐理由不充分啊。如果家里是靠租金收入，那末那些收入不应该因为他的去世而停止。那些房子如果欠的贷款比房价还高，也应该用foreclosure等手段解决，而不是靠大家捐款来补缺口。

You can not ask for donation while living in huge house on acrage with 100+ rental properties. it's not the right thing to do!!!   Shame on you who initiate the donation!

#18's statement trigered my curiosity.  I did go to Gwinnett county website and searched Mr. Wang's name.  He or some body with idential name has multiple properties in the county.  However, unlike what is posted by the OP, most of these were purchased during 2011-2012 time frame.  I did not  search for other counties so I cannot say that Mr. owns 100+ units though.  But I do have suspition about the OP's "FACTS" or motivation.
