华夏文摘】雪城：从王立山暴力事件看华人的生存

按你的意思，Justice and Fairness doesn't matter? 而这些正是”美国文明办事“和你的美国梦的基础！ 你认为逃避，忍受才是上策。如果是这样，华人永远是“经济上的能人，地位上的奴才”。朋友，要从王触犯法律的表面，看到种族歧视等问题。

角度不同，看问题会完全不同。尝试换个角度看问题，没什么不好，尤其是遇事先看看是不是自己身上出了问题，情况可能会完全不同。入乡随俗也是中华的传统。

" That Toor even did not allow Dr. wang to leave when he was too sick to continue working there.

美国人能从学前就教育孩子要“control your temper”，学会与别人相处之道，值得我们现在认真思考并今后借鉴。当然美国也推崇说真话仗义执言的，但无论怎样都不能走极端，美国人对自己国民的杀人犯也是要严惩的，所以，无论有任何理由，杀了人都是极端的手段，任何时候都是不值得推崇的，是我们杀死了也是别人的丈夫也许，也是或将来是孩子父亲的人，这是我们帮助王家和与法院打交道必须明确的一点，所以首先对死者及其家人表示深深的愧疚和歉意都是应该的。当然精神病人是例外。但是，即使如此，也应该对受害人进行慰问，这才是搞好族群关系的一个契机，也才是发扬我中华善良美德的最佳方式，变坏事为好事，这也就是所谓最大的政治吧。

I cannot accept the opinion that Chinese culture is the problem. Gun shots happened so frequently in US, Chinese only accounts a tiny portion of it. When a soul is left in darkness without hope, life is meaningless to him. Even that, when gun is not so readily available like in US, taking another person’s life is not an easy task.  Given enough time, wound in heart or body can heal. But with a gun in hand, one can kill a person so dead in a matter of minutes. There is no time to heal.

Long hair's view

The author may have simplified things a little bit, but he does have some good points. (Wang & Zhu can't represent all of us.) The conventional wisdom related in the last paragraph sounds reasonable and practical. A good article, though.

美国固然枪械泛滥，犯罪率相对高，但个人拥有枪的本意应是防卫防身用的，也是用来对付抢劫杀人等的犯罪的，现在王是用它主动进攻别人的，不是正当防卫，所以，无论如何说到底也都是理亏的一方。

给26楼们：老是看到这悲剧的结剧，不审视造成这悲剧的原因，类似的悲剧还会发生。你不用老拿这个大家都知道的大道理－犯法是不对的－来回说。再说一遍，这事件是一个社会悲剧，不是一个简单的刑事案。王立山不是生来就想杀人的。 法庭审案讲究作案动机。光是喊叫：杀人呐－不能说明问题，要知道还有正当防卫杀人一说 。不是说王是“正当防卫”，只是想说，像这种有着比较复杂社会根源的杀人案，决不是黑白划分那么清楚。杀人是事实，但是为什么？

正因为有更深的社会根源，所以才要从根本上着手解决问题，用我们的智慧，而决不是使用这种简单粗暴的手段，如果这样能根本上解决问题，那你发给我们没人一只枪好了，以后咱们华人都这样去解决问题。
