I just want to say something based on my own experience:
1. I bought four water melons last week from them and left them in garage. After two days, I smelt something very bad and found one of the water melon went bad with waters everywhere on the ground (see the pic.)
2. I bought a whole case of persimmon from them back to summer time and found most of them had mold on the bottom. I tried to return in two days and they told me sorry it is not returnable. I went back to the counter and found these things are still for sale with mold on it.
3. I bought couple small moon cake bags from them for $1.99 each back to mid-autumn time. The outside of the moon cake looks pretty and the inside is so hard to make me think this thing came from prior year. I sent the remaining bags directly to the FDA SE region office in downtown Atlanta (http://www.hhs.gov/about/regions/fdaser.html). I am still waiting for the result and should be able to find it soon.
4. I bought frozon fish from them once and it tasted strange with certain chemical odor. I did not keep any evidence includes the receipt so this one was passed.
I don't care if it is Chinese, American or korean store, I don't care if it is organic or farm direct food, the most important thing to me is the food safety. So treat yourself right to make sure don't damage your own health by eating something you have doubt. I will never go there again, I already learned the lesson. Just my two cents. |
