hehe, dont take this risk! you will gamble with weather -----the HURRICANE instead of distance!
could you make sure the hurricane season [similar or same as 2008] would not come to FL. again? during that time, all the beach house owners suffered from a nightmare. here is the summery: sixteen named storms formed, including eight that became hurricanes and five that became major hurricanes. The season officially started on June 1 and ended on November 30. -------even some insurance company refused to keep the house under policy because when one claim case not down yet, the another hurricane already came . then, 3rd; then 4th!
so, if the thing happened again after you got a [or more] beach house, what could you do? -----you have to have a positive answer before buying.

还是要先了解清楚购房和持房成本，算出利润后和本州的投资对比一下。
如果利润差不多的，就没必要舍近求远了，在家里附近打理投资房多好。
据我说知，那里海边的房子保险很高的，好像 还有很多不保的项目。

Desten beach 有条路 30A.据说有一半的房主是georgia 的人. 上次漏油让大家赔了不少.

为什么漏油会“让大家赔了不少“？那不应该会伤到房子吧？说不定找个托词还能从保险公司或BP敲到一点$$$呢。

是漏油造成了游客减少，房子空下来，然后维护成本还在那里，所以不进只出，这样亏了。
我那年正好去pasacola度假，BP为了促销，住度假屋的游客，超过3天的话，还有每天100刀的奖励呢。
我们当时住的是海边的town house,一个周末3晚上？1100刀。据说管理公司收取一半的费用后，房东其实只拿到500多点，我们当时算了一下，觉得其实利润也不高。
不知道一般这样的TOWN HOUSE多少钱，在低谷买的时候可能还行，现在我估计投资行情上去了，回报率可能又低了。
