--------------------------------------------Title:            Client-ServerApplication DeveloperLocation:     Atlanta, GAType:           9-12 Month Contract              Position SummarySeeking a strong Client-Server Application Developer for a 9 month contract opportunity in Atlanta, GA. The selected candidate will be involved in innovative systemsdevelopment efforts to optimize operations and to work closely with end-userswho are engaged in the fastest growing sector. This position will also include 24x7 support on a rotating basis formission critical applications and escalated problem tickets Key Responsibilities: -   Providehigh quality code (and support) for a mission critical application-   Useof strong problem solving and analysis skills for debugging purposes-   Provideall of the functions required of a developer (including good documentation,thorough testing, change control practices, SDLC use, etc.)-   Useof good verbal and written communication skills when interacting withend-users, co-workers, managers, etc.-   Providea high level of initiative and attention to detail during daily operations.-   Promotestrong teamwork ethic and customer support focus.. Basic Requirements -   4-yrCollege Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics-   3+years in an enterprise information technology environment with much of the last3 years spent developing/supporting applications using the following: SQL and C-   Minimumof 3+ years developing applications using SQL against large sized relationaldatabases-   Minimumof 2+ years of experience in Object Oriented Design and Development (Java, C++,UML)-   Experiencedeveloping applications using SDLC methodology-   Experiencesupporting mission critical applications-   Experiencein problem-solving and customer training-   Proficiencyin UNIX-   Stronganalytical and problem solving skills-   Familiaritywith testing methodologies, strategies and use of testing tools such as HPQC-   Strongteamwork ethic-   Excellentcustomer support and training skills-   Excellentverbal and written communication skills Preferred Requirements -   Developmentexperience using IBM’s DB2 UDB-   Developmentexperience using IBM AIX-   Experienceusing MQ Series messaging-   Experiencein software documentation using UML-   Developmentexperience using PERL-   Knowledgeof UNIFACE-   Experiencein Enterprise Applications Monitoring Other-   LocalCandidates strongly preferred-   Anyoffer of employment is contingent on the successful completion of a fullbackground check and drug screen |
