stain Vs. finish

我家deck比较老了，最近刚刚water pressure冲洗过,接下来增么弄?我看到有说要stain, 有说要finish, 有说要seal, 我都搞不清楚到底有什么区别?谁能说说?

据我所知：
      finish就是用wood stain来完成。有颜色。      stain分为solid 油漆后看不到木纹。  semi-transparent 油漆后可隐约看到木纹。最好的stain保证8年。
      seal就是用透明材料油漆deck。最好的seal防水、防晒、防霉。一般用于新deck，保持deck原始木质感。

For deck paint, there is not much different between stain and finish.  They are doing the same job basically but different look.

我以前服务过的客人有用过这样材料。
      1： 这是transparent有颜色
      2： 颜色代号400natural。颜色标示就是那小长条框。
      3： 特别请注意：边上小园图形中的2、4那相当于有效期年限，deck只有2年。
      4： 这种价格为$21.96/1Gal。建议买8年期的。价格为$32左右，高1/3价钱，但多6年。如果计算人工成本，2年漆一次和八年漆一次，8年人工及材料的弗用绝对划算。

oh, 我一直以为transparent是透明的没有颜色的. 那里可以买到那种8年的?
