讣告 - 沉痛悼念亚城范子体先生

I know Tom Fan in Dogwoods Toastmasters club. In my memory, he always wore warm smile on his face. He was very considerate, gentle and encouraging when he talked with other members. He challenged himself by giving speeches, participating speech contests. Obviously, he set up high expectations to himself and worked hard to achieve his goals.

Outside the club, I didn\'t have close contact with Tom. But all my friends who know him thought very highly of him.

I don\'t understand why God allows such a wonderful person pass away in such a young age. However, I believe he is in heaven now, no more suffering, no more pain. We pray for Tom\'s wife, his precious son, and his parents, and all his family members that they could have peace in their hearts, knowing that Tom will be forever remembered as an excellent being.

No word can express my sadness,  my heart and prayers go  to his family.

This is the last speech that Ziti \"Tom\" Fan gave at Dogwood Toastmasters. He shared this speech with us before presenting it to the Chinese Information Technology professional group where he was going to be inaugurated as their next president. I think this speech embodies how we will want to remember him. He was always kind, generous, and good natured. His was a life cut far too short and we will all miss him dearly.

近期刚在各种活动中以及在朋友 Mike 家同范子体相识，看他是位和蔼、稳重、潇洒的朋友，万没想到他英年早逝，离去的这么快，让人难以置信。



在沉痛悼念范子体的同时，万望他的妻子和孩子们节哀、保重！



莫愁

初识范先生是去年秋天在一位朋友家的Party上，没有机会跟他说话，因为孩子小，要早睡，他提前退席了，不过我记住了这位朴实，谦和，对孩子充满爱心的父亲！再见范先生是在不久前IT 协会举办的演讲会上，他作为新当选的IT 协会主席发表了简要的就职演说，我这才知道他的名字和职业，感觉他是一位充满活力且认真务实的热心人。中场休息时，我们有过短暂的交谈，没想到这竟是我们的第一次， 也是最后一次谈话.......惊闻噩耗，深为他英年早逝而惋惜。生命无常，生命短暂，我们活着的人一定要好好地珍惜生命所给予我们的一切，珍惜身边走过的人......！

深切悼念我的挚友范子体先生



我不敢相信，一个和蔼可亲，正直勤劳，善良朴实的人，正值英年，却突然离开了我们。是什么使他离开，目前还不知道，但是，相信天堂必定会为他留下他应有的位置。

我是2001年在美国CDC工作期间认识子体的，那时，我们中午都在CDC的cafeteria吃饭，彼此相识。由于比较谈得来，彼此之间的交往渐渐多起来。他买House后，常请我们夫妻去他家玩，有时，只有我们四人，有时众多朋友去他家Party，大家聚会，其乐融融。有时我们还一起出去玩，打保龄球等。2003年离开CDC去田纳西大学工作，临走前，由于我住处的东西都已打包装车，在他的建议下，我们夫妻去他家住了一晚。到了田纳西后，他们夫妻还去看望我们，并一起去Smoky Mountain。2004年我回到北京后，子体回国探亲，还曾两次路过北京，住在我家。就在一个月前，我们还在电话中聊天。

子体是个为人真诚，坦率，做事为他人着想，别人有求必应的热心肠人。与他相处你会有种很放松愉快的感觉，你不需要任何的猜疑，可以畅所欲言。他也是个细心的慈父，体贴的丈夫。他两度一个人带孩子回国探亲，我亲眼目睹他对儿子的细心照料，真是天下少见。

虽然，大家的归宿都是一样的，但是，听到他的突然离去的消息，还是让我心理非常难过，真心希望他在天国里能够安息。同时，向子体的家人致以慰问，愿他们节哀顺便。
