my electricity dryer (Whirlpool Model# LER4634JQ0) had thermal fuse blown. I bought the repair kit (279816) that includes a thermal fuse (279816) and a thermostat (3390291). It's no problem to replace the old thermal fuse, however, the existing thermostat is the part 3387134, which has 4 connectors, while the new thermostat is part 3390291, which has 2 connectors. My question is, can I replace the 3387134 with 3390291? If yes, can to wire the 4 wires to the 2 connectors? |
